Board Effectiveness: Translating Governance into Outcomes, 2nd – 6th August 2016

Maddison Pine, in partnership with the Public Service Commission, Ghana, is running a practical workshop which provides board chairmen, board members, CEOs, and ministers with the opportunity to discover, share and practice techniques for achieving higher levels of board effectiveness and building successful organisations.

The workshop brings governance actors together to discuss their challenges and share their solutions in governance. Through role play, case studies, best practice exchange and board simulation workshops, participants will enhance their skills for building relevant, effective, and high performing boards which add value to organisations through mentoring and monitoring performance.

Faculty includes Professor Bob Garratt, Professor Stephen Adei, Dr. Olu Ajayi, Dr. Rudith King, the Chairman of the Public Service Commission, seasoned Chairmen and CEOs; and board members.

Board members schooled on good governance

Members of various boards in the Public Service have been schooled on good governance in Accra.

The workshop which was under the theme: ‘Delivering high performance Public Sector Boards’ was aimed at equipping them to be strategic thinkers in their respective organization.

It was organized by the Public Services Commission in collaboration with Madison Pine, an international firm which specialises in corporate governance.

The three-day event brought together Chairpersons and members of Governing Boards and Councils, Chief Executives and Chief Directors of Public Sector organisations and institutions across the country.
